On June 16, Antonio Osorio was appointed Director of EUCCAN (European Union Chamber of Commerce in Canada) on behalf of the FPCBP (Federation of Portuguese Canadian Business & Professionals).

The Chamber was founded in 1995 in Toronto, Ontario, with the aim of strengthening economic ties between Canada and Europe. Originally incorporated as the European Union Chamber of Commerce in Toronto (EUCOCIT), the organization was renamed in 2013 - EUCCAN: European Union Chamber of Commerce in Canada - with the aim of becoming a platform for the European Union (EU) throughout the country. By 2025, EUCCAN will be the leading and unifying voice for EU business interests in Canada.

EUCCAN's mission is to work together with 25 Chambers of Commerce and Business Associations based in EU states and with the support of the European Union Delegation. EUCCAN is a key resource and the main point of contact for EU companies in Canada and for EU companies wishing to enter the Canadian market. EUCCAN operates on the basis of three fundamental pillars: advocacy, information and representation.
